Business, Bookkeeping, and Taxes... Oh My!!

Hi Reader,

Welcome to the FINAL STRETCH of 2025! As you know, December is an important month for business owners. With year end officially here and the holidays in full swing, this is the best time to wrap up loose ends and make sure your financials are ready for a smooth start to the new year. I know... I know... so much to do and so little time left!

Friendly reminder to start now! Seriously..... No time like the present! So here's a few tips on how to make the most of December before it's over:

  • Check in with your bookkeeper or accountant
  • Confirm all contractor information for upcoming 1099s
  • Prepare for 1099s and year end reporting
  • Review your payroll records before W 2 preparation
  • Schedule a final tax planning call with your tax professional
  • Make any last adjustments that could benefit your tax position!!!

Finishing these tasks now will help you avoid the year end rush, reduce stress, and step into the new year with clean, accurate, and organized financials.

Upcoming Tax Deadlines

January 15, 2026

  • Q4 estimated tax payment due for self employed business owners and pass through entities

Final Thoughts from Cloud9

December is more than a wrap up month. It is your chance to take control before deadlines, filings, and the holiday rush collide. This is when year end reporting, 1099 preparation, payroll reviews, and final tax planning all come together. If you wait until the last minute, it can feel overwhelming, but a little structure now can save you time, money, and stress as the year closes.

By reviewing your numbers, confirming what needs to be filed, and making sure your systems are organized, you give yourself the space to finish the year with clarity and confidence instead of scrambling to catch up.

Our team is here to help you stay organized, compliant, and fully supported so you can enter the new year feeling prepared, steady, and in control.

Need a little help catching?

I get it, staying on top of your accounting and tracking everything in your business can be a real drag, and easily (likely) gets put on the bottom of the TO DO list. Have you let your bookkeeping slide too long this year? Forgot all about reconciling? Are you sure you have captured EVERY deductible expense, and you haven't duplicated any income on the books?

WE LEGIT CAN HELP! Click on the link below to chat with us. We still have room to help 2 more clients catch up their 2025 QuickBooks Online (QBO) account before Tax Season is here!

Here's to a strong finish for 2025! You got this!
